Local homebuilder, StyleCraft, purchased a series of roughly 30 lots on the 1700 block of Cary/Parkwood in the S/E section of The Fan District to build new suburban styled townhomes. Construction began in the middle-late 2000’s and then paused for several years while the developer went through financial difficulties. StyleCraft eventually purchased the remaining lots and began construction with a scaled down product in 2012.
The townhomes represent one of the few ‘true new’ options in the Fan. The majority of ‘new’ in the Fan is typically ‘new renovated’ and not ground up. The true appeal of the homes is that they have open floor plan and all new systems and structure. The overall development is gated so those with security concerns appreciate the heightened security.
